« Jo & Max in Madrid », is the engagement session of two expatriate lovers for a time in the beautiful Spanish capital.

MADRID + PHOTOS !

To be honest with you, one of the only regions I had not yet visited in Spain was MADRID and its province. So normally for the sessions I never go that far. I always stay close to home. But here I couldn’t miss the opportunity to go and discover this cosmopolitan city with a history well anchored in our cultures.

After a nice day of walking with my little mom on the occasion of her 60th birthday – There are worse surprise trips, eh? – I met my little lovers in the heart of the Parc Del Retiro in the heart of Madrid. A soft autumn evening. The leaves of the trees are gently russeting. The lovers are strolling in a boat on the basin at the foot of the big white fountain. The children buy ice creams from the shop along the pedestrian walkway. A musician, guitar on his knee, leads us in our evening walk.

The session goes slowly, quietly to the rhythm of the lovers, until the sun sets over the preppy districts of the city. My mother joins us at one of the bars on the side of the basin, which is falling asleep. Then it’s time to take advantage of this evening to sip some sangrias and head to our restaurant Fusion – Mexican/Janponese – chosen for the occasion by my future bride and groom. It was a beautiful evening to discuss many things but all more interesting than the others and to discover incredible flavors!

Thanks to them for their trust. Their friendship. And their smiles full of sincerity. This time in Madrid is marked in my memory and will remain in my heart for a long time.
